At 1&1, we hold regular internal seminars from language courses to training courses in soft skills and specific programs for employees who wish to become a manager or expert.
Together with your department manager, choose what would be beneficial to both you and your work. All of our internal seminars are tailored to your exact needs, because they’re only on offer to our staff. You can also participate in external seminars if required.

We offer a combined style of on-the-job and formal classroom training. We stress learning from co-workers and peers, while also providing ongoing exposure to new developments in the technology landscape. A mentor that will help you integrate faster is allocated to you as a new employee on the first day of your job.

Your application should present a complete picture of you. This includes:

Cover letter

The cover letter is one of the most important elements of your application. Explain as clearly as possible why you’re applying for this specific position at our company. Don’t tell us your life story, just explain what makes you so interesting that we should invite you for an interview. Please don’t forget to include your salary expectations and earliest starting date and/or current term of notice.

Résumé

Make sure there are no gaps in your education and work record. You should generally begin with your higher education details. Any gaps (e.g. application phase, stays abroad, etc.) must be explained. We are also interested in your language and IT skills, as well as any hobbies.

Certificates

Please attach all important documents. These include employer references, school leaving, training, and higher education certificates. However, seminar certificates or similar participation documents, often just make your application unnecessarily bulky.

References

In the case of certain positions (e.g. Website Management), we attach great importance to suitable references or work samples. This will generally be requested in the respective job advertisement.

What do I have to consider when applying by e-mail or using an online form?

The best idea is to pack all of your documents into a single PDF document. This allows us to open everything with just one click. It also ensures that the layout of your documents isn’t altered. The file should be no larger than 5 MB.
